  • Mt. Tabor Park in SE Portland

  • For CROC members only

In July CROC offers four Wednesday evening Short Courses in the Portland area to give you a chance to get some exercise and go orienteering after work. These Short Courses have no results, no e-punch, no cost; just one course for fun.

This course in the wooded ravines on the west side of Mt. Tabor is about 2.5 k long, with controls marked by white streamers. As a bonus to mark the upcoming national holiday, the map will also offer some extra controls near the mapped course, marked with red and blue streamers. Finding these bonus controls is your choice.

You often hear the words “cinder cone,” and “volcanic butte” linked with Mt. Tabor, so there will be some climbing.

This training is for CROC members only; there is no cost. Register here by June 30 and we’ll send you the exact starting point. For questions and suggestions contact trainer Virginia Church or training coordinator  Anndy Wiselogle.
